After a long night of travelling, we finally arrived safely with no incidents in San Salvador. We then journeyed through customs and headed out to meet our guides for the ziplining tour. We had a blast!! (pictures to follow) We returned to the airport to check in for our 2:30 flight only to find out that it had been delayed until 6pm. :( We are currently hanging out at gate 12 (our home for the last 3 hours) doing devotions, snacking on Subway, and playing card games, and having good conversations to keep ourselves occupied. We expect it's going to be another long evening of travel. Since we will be getting back to base rather late (probably after midnight), we most likely will not be blogging again tonight, but we promise to update you on our safe arrival at base camp in the morning. Mr. C, Mrs. Orr and The Glasgows are aware of our delay and are hanging out waiting for us.
We appreciate your prayers... Keep them coming, we still have to tackle Belizean customs! :)
We love you and miss you all!!
-Miss Frost, Mrs. Clark and the Southern Belize team
We are just chillin (sweatin, actually) here at the airport in Belize City. It's a good thing we are still working the smile from yesterday's shrimp burrito and double-scoop gelato.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that you all are having such long stays at the airports...but we have your beds ready and will leave the lights on for you. By the way, I don't think that Customs will give you all any problems... they should get you through pretty quick. Praying for safe, smooth travels.
ReplyDeleteWe are all waiting rather anxiously to hear of your safe arrival to base camp. Tons of love and prayers to you all. Gayle Helinski
ReplyDeleteThinking and praying for you all. Assuming you have arrived safely as we were following both Southern and Central Belize blogs. Can't wait to see and hear about all the blessings God has planned. Gina
ReplyDeleteI just spoke to Pastor John and they are there safely! They are swimming in the creek :). Sure we will hear more details tonight. Praise God for their safe arrival! Gayle Helinski
ReplyDeleteSo glad to finally hear some sort of report. Thanks Mrs. Helinski for the call down there!!! We just figured all was well b/c no news is good news, but as parents hearing they are well is sweet news. Looking forward to some pics. The ones from Central Belize look really fun!
